Office Hours for the week of the 29th
In preparation for Exam 2, some office hours have been added to our regular schedule. The complete schedule for the week of the 29th follows:
- M (29th): TK (11-1), GW (11:30-1), BP (5-7)
- T (30th): GW (9-12), TK (3-5), DN (3-4:30)
- W (31st): DN (11:30-1), MB (12-2), BP (4:30-6:30)
- Th (1st): GW (9-11), TK (10-12), FZ (12:15-3), DN (3-4:30)
- F (2nd): CH (10-12), FZ (1:15-2:30), DN (1:15-3:30), MB (2:30-3:30)
- M (5th): BP (9-10:30), TK (11-1), GW(11:30-1), CH (1-3)
Second Exam
- Time: Monday, November 5, 8 to 10 PM.
- Rooms: To be announced.
- Coverage: Principally Chapters 4, 5, 6 and related material, such as that presented in lectures, and homework sets 4, 5, 6, and 7. However, since this material builds on that of Chapters 1, 2, and 3, you will need to be familiar with that material as well.
- Format: Same as for Exam 2, namely, multiple choice questions with partial credit given for partially correct answers for which correct or partially correct work is shown.
- Bring a calculator.
- You may bring two sides of a page of notes (8 1/2 x 11 each). That is, you can have one sheet of paper with notes on both sides, or two sheets of paper with notes on one side of each.
- No lab assignment will be due during the week of the exam. The lab sessions during the week of Oct. 29 - Nov. 2 will be review sessions, rather than introductions to a new lab assignment. There will be regular lab sessions during the week of the exam.
