The teaching staff will send official announcements to this address and all students are supposed to get them in their email. This is an x500 mail group which all students must join immediately (see the instructions below). Important: Do not send or reply to this address! This address broadcasts to all the students in the course. Join this group, but do not send or reply to it!

If you need help with technical questions about the projects, lectures, or the coursework, send a message to this address. It will be forwarded to each of the course teaching staff members. This is the quickest way to get help, since the first staff member to log on will respond to your question.

Note: If you have used Unix at all, then using ud at a Unix machine is the simplest way to join the announcements group. Log on, run ud, authenticate with "bind" if necessary, then enter "join", the group name "2807announcementsw00", and then quit ud. That's it! See the ud Quicknote below for more information.
