Objective:

To interface to an actual (playable) guitar such that it is used as the primary controller of a simplified version of the existing game: Guitar Hero. Because the existing game GuitarHero, is played with a video game controller in the shape of a guitar, we figured, why not use a playable guitar? Our main goal was to make the actual game as real as it could be. Introducing an actual guitar to the game's overall interface achieves this goal for us. When implemented, it would allow the user to enjoy both the gameplay and hone his/her skills on a guitar.
