Our project is a grocery shopper assistant that will attach to a shopping cart. It will basically be a portable device that will be use to scan in products to be purchased while shopping in grocery stores. The customer then wouldn’t have to go to the register and wait in line to check out.

 

 

As the brain of the project, the controller (a state machine implemented in hardware) changes frames in the VGA and drives the software via interrupts. Signals from the processor and XY coordinates from the touchpad change the current state of the controller.
