Online Lab Submission with Gradescope

Overview
All lab materials will be submitted online using Gradescope. You will receive an invitation near the start of the term to join. There are two short Gradescope tutorials you should review before using Gradescope. Go to getting started with Gradescope website and watch Create a Group Assignment and For Students: Submitting Homework. Also, see this guide on creating a good scan when submitting handwritten material.

Procedure
These are the steps you should follow.
  1. Use the assignment submission (Word Doc) form included with each lab to create a PDF that will be uploaded to Gradescope. Edit it as necessary to fill in the answers. Be sure to include group member names, the day and time of your home lab.
  2. In Gradescope upload the document as a PDF.
  3. Next Gradescope will prompt you to associate the questions stated in the submission form with the answers you supplied in your PDF on a page by page basis.
  4. Add any students you were worked with on this lab assignment. There is an Add Members button in the upper right corner of the Gradescope submission page. They will be notified via email. You need only one submission per group.
  5. Finally go back and check that you correctly associated each question with the answer page in your PDF by clicking on the questions in the outline (right side of screen).
  6. Check that all the members of your group are included. They should be listed under members upper right corner on Gradescope.
Group vs Individual Submissions
All lab assignments are group assignments except Prelabs. Currently there is only one prelab for lab 3.

Examples

Caveats
The Gradescope due dates are not correct for the lab submissions. You must reference the lab sechedule for the correct due time. Generally this is within the first hour of your home lab for the respective week.
