Shawn S. H. Hsu was born in Tainan, Taiwan. He received his B.S. degree at the National Tsing-Hua University, Taiwan in the electrical engineering department in 1992. From 1992 to 1994, he served as a lieutenant in Army. From 1994 to 1995, he was a research assistant in the institute of information management at the National Chiao-Tung University.  He received his M.S. degree in the EECS department from  University of Michigan in 1997.  He joined the III-V Integrated Devices and Circuits group in winter 1997. He is currently working towards his Ph.D. degree. His current research interests include develop analytical and empirical large-signal and noise equivalent circuit models of high-speed transistors for RFIC/MMIC design applications.  Implement and develop various measurement techniques to extract equivalent circuit device parameters.  Design of microwave MMICs and high-speed mixed-signal RFIC.
