JUNTAO HU

Juntao Hu was born in Chongqing, China, on July 23, 1959. He received the B.S.E.E. degree from Chengdu Institute of Radio Engineering, Chengdu, Sichuan, People's Republic of China, in 1982, and the M.S.E. degree and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in 1986 and 1991 respectively.

From 1982 to 1985, he worked on the research and fabrication of CMOS and CCD devices at the Sichuan Solid State Circuits Research Institute, Sichuan, China.

In 1986 he joined the Center for High Frequency Microelectronics and the Solid State Electronics Laboratory at the University of Michigan as a Research Assistant. His research interests included the design, fabrication and simulation of heterojunction bipolar transistors and other III-V compound semiconductor devices and circuits. Since December 1991 Dr. Hu has been with Bell Northern Research, Ottawa, Canada, working in the area of Heterostructure Bipolar Transistors.
