Connect with Students

Electrical and Computer Engineering students are among the best in the world. To create the competitive advantage of the future by hiring these students, companies need to engage students on campus. There are critical resources available around campus that can assist corporate partners with recruiting and engaging ECE students. These resources include:

Electrify Summer Tech Camp

The Electrify Tech Camp exposes high school students to the exciting field of electrical and computer engineering. Campers learn about ECE, the University of Michigan, and enjoy an advanced program that challenges them to think creatively and stretch their boundaries. Support the camp, or support an individual student with financial needs.

Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) Expeditions

ECE Expeditions serve as a means for ECE students to learn about the role of electrical and computer engineers in a variety of companies and fields. They also allow students to learn about different business and company atmospheres. If you would like our students to visit your company, please contact us.

Engineering Graduate Symposium

Each year in late October to early November, the College of Engineering hosts an Engineering Graduate Symposium, a college-wide event focusing on doctoral and master's programs and graduate student research. Come for a glimpse of the research happening in the department.

Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) Career Fair

The day before the Graduate Symposium, Electrical and Computer Engineering hosts a career fair for industries interested in recruiting students in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering. Interested companies can complete an interest form.

Support for Students Through Giving

Support students by naming your own endowed fund.

Student Organizations and Competitive Teams

Our student organizations, especially Michigan Hackers, HKN, and IEEE, regularly host companies who give tech talks or other presentations to our students. SWE is the go-to College-wide student group that organizes many recruiting activities. EECS students are involved in a wide variety of competitive teams, and oppotunities exist to provide support or to otherwise interact with these teams.

Engineering Career Resource Center

Utilize the Engineering Career Resource Center to post internship, co-op, and full-time job opportunities. Particpate in the Fall Engineering Career Fair (late September) and the Winter Engineering Career Fair (late January/early February). The MPowered Career Fair, designed exclusively for startups, is usually held in January.
