CSE Alumnus Kai-Hui Chang Receives ACM SIGDA Award for Outstanding Dissertation   Bookmark and Share

Kai-hui Chang has been awarded the 2009 ACM SIGDA Outstanding Ph.D. Dissertation Award in Electronic Design Automation. He received this award for his dissertation, "Functional Design Error Diagnosis, Correction and Layout Repair of Digital Circuits," which he defended at the University of Michigan. Kai-Hui previously received the Outstanding Dissertation Award from the European Design and Automation Association. His faculty advisors were Igor Markov and Valeria Bertacco. The three of them collaborated on a book, published in December 2008, that came from the dissertation.

The award will be presented at the Design Automation Conference, which takes place July 26-31, 2009 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco.
