Event Showcases Student-Designed Computer Games at CSE   Bookmark and Share

On Friday, December 18, 2009, CSE will host the 2009 Computer Games Showcase. This annual event showcases the final projects of computer science seniors who have taken EECS 494, Computer Game Design and Development. This course, which has served as a model for similar courses across the country, was developed and is taught by Prof. John Laird.

The event will begin with short presentations by the student developers, so that attendees will have the chance to learn about all of the projects. This will be followed by an opportunity for everyone to play the games, which will be running on computers in Tishman Hall.

Microsoft, Electronic Arts, and THQ have donated lots of commercial video games as prizes. These will be given as door prizes to some lucky attendees, and also to the best student developers (as voted on by attendees).

The Computer Games Showcase will take place Friday, December 18, from 7:00 – 9:00 pm in the Computer Science and Engineering Building. The event will begin with presentations in lecture hall 1670 CSE, and then move to the Tishman Hall atrium for time with the games.
