Andrea Pellegrini Receives Rackham International Fellowship   Bookmark and Share

EECS graduate student Andrea Pellegrini has been awarded a 2009 Rackham International Fellowship. Rackham International Fellowships support outstanding international students, particularly those who may be ineligible for other kinds of support because of citizenship. Nominees must have a strong academic record, be making good progress toward the degree, and demonstrate outstanding academic and professional promise.

Andrea is a Ph.D. student working with Prof. Valeria Bertacco in the Advanced Computer Architecture Laboratory (ACAL). His research interests are in resilient design and fault modeling, with a special focus on their applications in the system-level architecture domain. His research leads toward the goal of delivering technology that will allow computers to be cheaper, smaller, and more power efficient, while ensuring that they deliver correct results despite faults. Andrea earned a Laurea Degree Summa cum Laude in Computer Engineering from the University of Bologna, Italy, in 2007. He plans to graduate in 2012.
