Please join us for a special presentation by Craig Mundie, chief research and strategy officer of Microsoft. Craig is one of two senior executives who took over from Bill Gates. Craig will talk about the technologies that will change how people interact with the world, and the opportunities for every academic discipline to harness the power of computing. Craig will showcase a number of advanced technologies, and answer questions from the audience.
Craig Mundie is chief research and strategy officer of Microsoft Corp., reporting to CEO Steve Ballmer. Mundie is responsible for directing the company's technical strategy and long-term investments. In this role, he oversees Microsoft Research and other technology and research initiatives, the company's health and education businesses, and a number of technology incubations. Mundie also works with government and business leaders around the world on technology policy, regulation and standards. Mundie previously served as Microsoft's chief technical officer for advanced strategies and policy. In that role, he worked with Chairman Bill Gates to develop Microsoft's global strategies around technical, business and policy issues.
