Research Group on Quantum Communication

Wednesday, October 10, 2012
10:00am - 12:00pm
2733 Beyster Bldg.

About the Event

An interdisciplinary group of faculty & students studies problems in quantum information theory with a focus on quantum communication. Specific goals for the group include: (1) developing protocols for quantum cryptography, (2) estimating numerical invariants associated to quantum channels (such as channel capacity), and (3) studying the use of quantum entanglement as a communication resource. Our meetings start officially at 10:20am. All faculty and graduate students are welcome to attend. At the meeting on October 10th, Hector Garcia will present the paper "Bell Inequalities for Graph States" by O. Guehne, et al. (Physical Review Letters 95, 120405 (2005).)
