The CSE ACM Teams Triumph in Programming Competition

| Saturday, Nov 6, 131 teams competed in the East Central North America
Regional ACM Programming Competition. Each University could enter two
teams in the competition. Below are the rankings for the top 10 teams. There were
8 problems to be programmed in a 5 hour period. The official results will
be announced soon.

Head coach, Professor Kevin Compton, and Assistant Coaches ,Jarrod Roy and Charles Zhang ,did an outstanding
job in helping prepare the teams. Team members were
UM Victors: Nuttapong Chentanez, Galen Elias, Jim McCann
UM Valiant: Will Cheng, Joe Frikker, Brianna Satinoff
The Victors have qualified for the International Competition which will
be held in Shanghai, China, April 3-7, 2005. This is the same team that
qualified for Internationals last year.
