WIMS Researchers Helping to Improve Hearing    Bookmark and Share
371.gifA ribbon-like cochlear implant developed at the NSF Engineering Research Center for Wireless Integrated Microsystems (WIMS) could greatly improve hearing for profoundly deaf patients. The implant, developed by a team led by Professor Ken Wise, uses thin-film electrode sites that directly stimulate the auditory nerve.
