Phoenix microchip sets low-power record with extreme sleep mode    Bookmark and Share
635.jpgA low-power microchip called the Phoenix Processor, developed by Profs. David Blaauw and Dennis Sylvester, along with doctoral students Scott Hanson and Mingoo Seok, uses significantly less power than comparable chips now on the market. It is intended for use in cutting-edge sensor-based devices such as medical implants, environment monitors and surveillance equipment. [Read more...] [Technology Review article]
