2009 St. George's Day Feast - April 20, 2009

The legend of St. George returns!

In a tradition that dates back to 1987, EECS faculty serve lunch to the students as a way of saying thanks, good luck on finals, and congratulations to those who are graduating. The legend of St. George says he slew a dragon - and for the first time, the Chairs of EECS, Farnam Jahanian (CSE) and Khalil Najafi (ECE) got their chance to do the same thing. They were successful!

Just before lunch, Dr. Mark Brehob was honored with the HKN Professor of the Year award, and HKN was honored with an Outstanding Chapter Award for the 2007-08 academic year.
