* If you visit in June or July, look into the Ann Arbor Summer Festival, a free, month-long outdoor showcase of music, food and film. Art Fair is also a seasonal attraction of note (mid-July), but be aware that many downtown streets are closed off for the festivities.

Michigan, a favorite tourist destination of Michiganders and others throughout the country who are attracted to the sandy beaches of the Great Lakes, the numerous smaller lakes, and the many opportunities for canoeing, hiking, camping, boating, fishing, skiing, and snowmobiling. Don't miss the Tulip Festival in Holland, or the Cherry Festival in Traverse City.
