- URSI Koga Gold Medal Award for Outstanding International Research, Japan, August 1993.
(This award is administered by the United Nations under the URSI-Union Radio Science Internationale and was given by the Japanese delegation in Kyoto-Japan in August 1993. It recognizes excellence in research in the area of radio electronics and communications. The award is given once every three years for the Best International Researcher under 35 years. Dr. Koga is one of the fathers of Radio in Japan, and is the equivalent of Marconi in Japan).
