UMIPS was founded by Electrical Engineering Doctoral Students Michael S. McCorquodale, Robert M. Senger, Eric D. Marsman, Fadi H. Gebara, and their research advisor, Dr. Richard B. Brown. The repository is currently being managed by these founders, along with the help of Matthew R. Guthaus.
