About Me

Since Fall 2005, I have been a PhD student at EECS, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, affiliated with the Database Research Group and working with Prof. H.V. Jagadish. Previously, after a brief detour at Tsinghua University (Beijing, China), I went to HKUST (Hong Kong) on full scholarship and obtained my BEng (first class honors) in Computer Engineering with a minor in Mathematics and MPhil in Computer Science.

In summer 2009, I worked as a research intern at IBM Almaden Research Center with Drs. Laura Chiticariu, Frederick R Reiss, and Sriram Raghavan.
Research Interest

I am interested in database systems and applications. Currently, I am working on improving the usability of database systems, for both technical and non-technical users.
