A Note to Prospective Students

Decisions concerning admissions and financial aid here at Michigan are made by a small committee.  Because I am not a member of this committee, I have no input to or influence over the admissions or financial aid process.  Therefore, please do not send me mail requesting that I intervene on your behalf, as I cannot do so.  As you might imagine, I tend to get many such requests; their volume forces me to ignore them without response.

If you are interested in evaluating the chances of receiving admission or financial aid before applying (and paying the application fee), you should look at the department's admission information and admission requirements pages.  We also have a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page, and a page that describes our financial aid system.

Having said all of this, the Computer Science and Engineering division of Michigan's EECS department is growing substantially.  We are always looking for excellent students, and able to support the most qualified of our students regardless of citizenship.  If you are interested in finding out more, you might want to browse our graduate brochure or the information available off of the CSE home page.  Once you have been offered admission, you are more than welcome to send me mail about working in mobile systems.

In addition to work within the division, our students and faculty collaborate with the ESE and SSE divisions, other departments within the College of Engineering, the School of Information, the School of Music, the Medical School, the School of Business Administration, and LS&A.
