APRIL Laboratory

My research centers around robotic perception, probabilistic environment modeling, and path planning. In each case, I am interested in incorporating machine learning to both improve the performance of the systems and to make the systems behave more like humans. My goal is to build robots that can reliably perform useful tasks in difficult environments, allowing robots to serve as both our proxies and our partners.

My research group at the University of Michigan, APRIL, has a number of ongoing projects. Much more information is available here.
