Bio
I'm a graduate student in Computer Science at the University of Michigan, although that will change in September when I start work at the Partners AIDS Research Center, a division of MGH in Boston. At the moment, I am working in northern Michigan at the Bay Mills Indian Community reservation with Robert Frost, teaching Ojibwe students how to build their own virtual museum. Sometimes I think about maximum weight matching algorithms for general weighted graphs. I previously worked in Martha Pollack's plan management group as a part of the AI Lab, during which time I earned my Masters degree in Computer Science. I am supported by a Rackham Engineering Award Fellowship. Before coming to Michigan, I went to MIT, where I earned S.B. degrees in Mathematics with Computer Science and Physics in 2004. Between graduation and graduate school, I worked at the Massachusetts General Hospital as a research assistant in the Surgical Oncology division, designing an automated reminder system for mammography patients.

Other Interests
As an undergraduate, I did my share of theater with MIT Dramashop and the Shakespeare Ensemble, who still list a bio for me here. I also participated in the MIT production of The Vagina Monologues for four years as a cast member, set designer, producer, director, and web mistress. I was the lighting designer for the 2006 University of Michigan production and a member of the cast of the 2007 production. I also sing in the University of Michigan Women's Glee Club as a second alto and serve as their webmaster and secretary.
I'm also a rabid baseball fan -- go Red Sox and Twins! I keep score at every game I attend and write about them in my blog. During the 2005 season, I visited six different major league stadiums: Fenway Park (Boston), Great American Ballbark (Cincinnati), SBC Park (San Francisco), The Coliseum (Oakland), Comerica Park (Detroit), and the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome (Minneapolis). In the 2006 season, I went to seven: AT&T Park (formerly SBC Park), Comerica, PNC Park (Pittsburgh), RFK Stadium (Washington DC), U.S. Cellular (Chicago (AL)), the Metrodome, and Jacob's Field (Cleveland). In 2007, I've thus far been to four: Comerica, the Coliseum, Coors Field (Denver), and Great American. I've also been to Fifth Third Field in Toledo, OH (AAA) a few times.
About This Page
I blatantly stole Anand Sarwate's style sheets and template (but I had his permission to do so). I changed the colors so it's a little less obvious.
