I am a third year Ph.D. student in the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science department (CSE division) at University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. I am currently working with Prof. Satish Narayansamy and Prof. Scott Mahlke in the Advanced Computer Architecture Laboratory (ACAL).
I recieved my Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati in 2009.
My resume is available here: pdf.
Broadly, my research interests are in Parallel Computing and performance improvement of dynamically typed languages (specifically javascript). Currently, I am looking at ways of improving the performance of dynamically typed languages considering both the interpretation and JIT parts of javascript engines.
Until recently, I was working on performance optimization of parallel programs by controlling the amount of concurrency. This work aims to provide a system that can help deilver the best performance a parallel program can provide in as much as is dependent on the number of active threads. This work is under submission.
