Ordering Details: For most items, planning is necessary on your part! Manufacturers typically require minimum orders (varying from 6 to 9 items) with a 4 to 6 week lead time! Unfortunately, we cannot just order one item and get it to you the next week. We organize group orders periodically, so look for them in the Weekly Catch.
Exceptions: Items that are relatively inexpensive, such as caps and water bottles, the club can afford to keep in stock. All you have to do is email us to confirm availability, leave us a check in the boathouse, and we'll deliver your item to the boathouse. Other items, such as the racing jackets (i.e., splash jackets), which cost around $140 depending on options, we keep very few in stock, like one or two. It's worth contacting us to see if we have one you would like, but it is best not to count on it. Long Sleeve Racing Shirt: Official AARC racing shirt for cool weather months. Made of 83% drytech and 17% lycra, it is close fitting but does not bind in the arms. Splash Jacket: In the past AARC has ordered the "Purist" style jacket. However, JL no longer offers pockets on the Purist style. For this reason, starting in 2009, AARC has changed to the "Sequel" style jacket. It is exactly the same as the Purist we previously used, except the neck is a little higher and the front of the jacket a little longer (so that it can be worn for other activities as well). Club colors and logo placements will remain the same. By going with the Sequel, rowers will have many options (see J&L's Web Site). The base jacket has 1/4 front zip similar to past club jackets, but you can also order a full front zip jacket (i.e. no need to lift over your head to remove). Individuals can also have front pockets or not, and an option for a back zippered pocket (would be nice for keys, phone, water bottle). The base price for Sequel jacket is the same as for the Purist, but of course all options are extra. Finally, an important point, by switching to the Sequel, people with the Purist will not look out of date because the color blocking, fit and everything else will be the same. Pricing: If ordered in groups of 9 or more, the base price for a Sequel jacket (¼ front zip, no pockets, but does include silk screening and logo) will be approximately $105 [does not include shipping]. Options are priced as follows: full zip (add $14) back zip pocket (add $10) front zip pockets (add $17) Hence, a fully loaded jacket would be $145. There are other options if you are interested.
