I am currently a PHD student at U of M working under supervision of Prof. Scott Mahlke. I started my PHD in Fall 2005 and 2 months before that I moved to United States from IRAN where I recieved my B.S. degree. These days, I am working on a collaborative project with IBM T.J. Watson research lab. The goal of this project is to solve all current and future problems related to multicore systems! More precisely, we are trying to to design a new high-level hardware description language that can be used by not-very-intelligent(!!) software designers to use FPGAs in their software projects. Besides the difficulty of designing the language, coming up with an efficient automated compiler for this new language is enough to make most graduate students quit their PHD and go to Law, Business or Medical school! If you feel like you can contribute to this project, please send me an email with your suggestions(Chances are that your email will not get replied ever!)
