This is the home page for the salamander distribution system. The system is currently under development and is targeted at wide-area network distributed systems.

Currently, Salamander is being developed as the underlying transport service for the following systems:

• The IPMA project's new Java-based version of its ASExplorer, and NetNow.
• The UARC project's Internet collaboratory.
