I'm a Principal Research Engineer at Samsung Electronics, leading a project on anti-virus and self-securing technology for mobile handsets. Here is my CV (in pdf) for those who want to know more about my background. I can be reached via
Before joining Samsung, I received a PhD degree under the supervision of Prof. Kang G. Shin at the Real-Time Computing Laboratory in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science of the University of Michigan. My PhD thesis work covered the development of a unified, energy-efficient security framework, called a Lightweight Security Protocol (LiSP), for networked embedded sensor systems. I also designed Position-based Energy-Aware Routing for Large-scale ad-hoc networks (PEARL).
I position myself as a System Engineer. I've been designing and building "systems" in a variety of dimensions: from consumer electronics products to emerging embedded systems, from hardware to software, and integration of the two, accordingly, and from point-to-point interfacing to many-to-many networking techniques. Based on my unique experiences, I expect to grow into a System Architect who will take a key role in the innovative top-level design of systems and in the integration of various functional modules and ideas to build smart and versatile systems, e.g., for networked ubiquitous computing. |
