Welcome to the homepage of Xinyu Zhang.

I am a PhD student in the Real-Time Computing Laboratory ( RTCL), Dept. of EECS, University of Michigan. My advisor is Prof. Kang G. Shin . Before coming to Ann Arbor, I received my Master's degree from the University of Toronto, and worked there for one year as a research associate, under the direction of Prof. Baochun Li.

My general research interest falls in the area of wireless networking, in particular the design, modelling and analysis of wireless network protocols. Currently, I am focusing on software-defined radio and cognitive radio networks. I have also worked on the following topics:

  • Distributed emulation of large scale wireless networks.
  • Using network coding to improve the performance of wireless networks.
  • Economic and game theoretic analysis of network coding.

More detailed information is available on the Research page.
