Programming Projects

There will be four programming projects during the semester. Unless otherwise indicated, you are allowed to work in groups of two and submit a team project. Please attend the Friday discussion sections for important instructions and extra help. Projects should be submitted by email to (please include “EECS398” in the subject).

The programming projects will be posted here when they are available:

1. Crypto Project (instructions, OpenSSL hints, code; posted Sept. 27, updated Oct. 4) — due Monday, Oct. 12, 5pm
2. Web Security Project (instructions, code, server to receive stolen information; posted Oct. 14, updated Oct. 27, stolen info server added Oct. 26) — due Oct. 29, 5pm
3. Application Security Project (instructions, targets, VM, VM disk image (486 MB); posted Nov. 3) — due Nov. 19, 5pm
4. Forensics Project (instructions, disk image (3.1 GB); posted Dec. 1) — due Dec. 11, 5pm
