Homework Exercises

There will be six homework exercises during the semester. Together they will count for 24% of the course grade for undergrads. (ITS students will be assigned homework separately.) You are free to discuss the homework problems with other members of the class (unless otherwise noted in the assignment), but the answers you turn in must be your own work.

Each homework is due at 5pm on a Friday, as listed below. Late submissions will be penalized by 10% plus an additional 10% every 12 hours until received. (The professor may grant individual extensions, but only under truly extraordinary circumstances.)

1. Homework 1 (posted Sept. 7) — due Friday, Sept. 17, 5pm
2. Homework 2 (posted Sept. 17) — due Friday, Oct. 1, 5pm
3. Homework 3 (posted Oct. 4) — due Monday, Oct. 18, 5pm
4. Homework 4 (posted Oct. 21) — due Friday, Nov. 5, 5pm
5. Homework 5 (posted Nov. 22) — due Monday, Dec. 6, 5pm
6. Homework 6 (available Nov. 19) — due Friday, Dec. 3, 5pm
