How do I reset my Windows Active Directory (UMROOT) password?Last updated 01/15/2019 3:16 PM | Print | Show source | History

If you know your UMICH Kerberos password, you can easily reset your Windows Active Directory (UMROOT) password on the ITS website.

  1. Go to this website:
    1. https://accounts.itcs.umich.edu/pwreset-bin/pwreset?command=ad
  2. Login with your UMICH Kerberos password
  3. Enter your new password. Please note that it must be at least 7 characters long, include one or more capital letters, one or more lower case letters, one or more numbers, and one or more special characters (~,!,@,#,$,%,'&#'.ord(',').';'&,*, etc).
  4. Click submit

Once this is done, you will be able to use this password on any UMROOT Windows machine or on the CAEN wireless network.
