How do I setup Mac Mail to view my EECS email?
- With Mac Mail open, click on "Mail" menu item.
- Select "Preferences..."
- Select the "Accounts" tab from above. Click the plus sign in the bottom.
- From the drop down menu at the top, select "IMAP". Fill out the rest of your account information, then click "Continue".
- The incoming mail server is your assigned mail server. Complete the "User Name" field, then click "Continue".
- Note: If you get an error about not being able to contact the server, click "Continue" again.
- Click the checkbox next to "Use Secure Socket Layer (SSL)". Click "Continue".
- The outgoing server is: "mail.eecs.umich.edu". Select the checkbox next to "Use Authentication", and fill out the "User Name" and "Password" fields. Click "Continue".
- Note: If you get an error about not being able to contact the server, click "Continue" again.
- Click "Continue"
- Click "Continue"
- Click "Done"
