CSE faculty and staff got to show their kids how we have fun in Beyster. Bring Your Child to Work Day 2018 gave kids the run of the building, on a mission to find all the exciting activities the department had to offer.

Several departments collaborated to make the day a fun and educational experience for the visitors. DCO hosted a server room tour, and disassembled computers to show how they work. Kids got a history lesson with a look at the ENIAC, the first electronic general-purpose computer residing in Tishman Hall's entryway. They also got to hunt down grad students and get a look at their different offices and labs, learning a little about their favorite games along the way.

Grad students took some time out of their busy day to get "interviewed" by the visitors.

The Robotics Lab showed off Prof. Chad Jenkins remote-controlled creation and let the kids take the wheel. For the rest of the day, they could play games and grab pizza in Tishman Hall, check out the Grove's outdoor activities, make a fold-up robot, and of course check out their parents' offices and workstations.

Kids got to take home a mini robot of their own once they checked out all the sights.
