Quantum Research Group Meeting

Friday, September 27, 2013
1:30pm - 3:00pm
2733 Beyster Bldg.

About the Event

An interdisciplinary group of faculty & students studies problems in quantum information theory with a focus on quantum communication. Specific goals for the group include: (1) developing protocols for quantum cryptography, (2) estimating numerical invariants associated to quantum channels (such as channel capacity), and (3) studying the use of quantum entanglement as a communication resource. All faculty and students are welcome. At the meeting on September 27th, Yaoyun Shi will give a presentation entitled "The descriptive complexity of quantum states."
