About the Event

Abstract coming soon.

I am an Assistant Professor of Electrical & Computer Engineering at Wayne State University. My background is in Computational Methods for Cyber-Physical Energy Systems and my research focus is on the theory and application of Internet of Things (IoT) and Data Analytics in Smart Buildings, Smart Grids, and Autonomous Systems. Prior to joining Wayne State, I was an Assistant Professor at California State University, Long Beach. I was a Post-Doctoral Fellow in Electrical Energy at the Georgia Institute of Technology between 2013 and 2015 and received my Dual Ph.D. from Carnegie Mellon University in 2012. I have over forty publications in the field, including the best paper award in the 2017 North American Power Symposium. I also lead a $2.5M project by California Energy Commission to design, develop, and demonstrate an innovative IoT-based energy management system on academic buildings.
