Victor Perlin wins Rackham Distinguished Dissertation Award
Victor Perlin has been named a winner of the 2003 Rackham Distinguished Dissertation Award. The award recognizes "exceptional and unusually interesting work produced by doctoral students in the last phase of their graduate work." His dissertation was entitled "Novel configurations in nonlinear fiber optics: Raman scattering and Bragg gratings" and was supervised by Professor H. Winful. The award will be presented on April 29th in a public ceremony at the Michigan League.
