Radiowave propagation encompasses the study of electromagnetic wave interactions with various types of environments (from urban canyon settings to suburban landscapes to remote unpopulated locations) within the framework of various types of radio configurations (from indoor wireless microcells to outdoor cellular and sensor networks to over the horizon). As the scope and application of the subject are comprehensive, a diverse set of analytical, numerical, statistical, and empirical tools are being developed to model and assess the radio link.
