Basic Web Hosting
Basic web hosting is provided to all EECS Account holders. To publish a website with this service, place HTML files in the '~/public/html' (or ~/public_html for accounts on older machines) within your home directory and then view them by going to 'http://www.eecs.umich.edu/~username'.
Complex Web Hosting
More complex hosting services are available upon request. If you require database access, advanced language support, server-side scripting, special DNS settings, or a unique URL, feel free to contact us for more information.
Services for Non-DCO Servers
It is also possible for users to run web sites on their own registered workstations using the DCO provided DNS hostname. Custom CNAME records can be created upon request.
