Lesson 1: HTML & CSS
In your first coding lesson, you will have the chance to explore the basics of HTML and CSS, the coding languages that make up many of the websites you see online. By the end of this lesson, you will have created a basic webpage with text and images!
Lesson 2: Applied HTML & CSS
In Lesson 2, we will build on the HTML/CSS skills from Lesson 1 to start creating your very own website. You will get to add your own photos and text on your own page to make it more visually appealing and fun by using different colors and fonts. By the end, you will have your own beautiful personal website!
Workshop 2: Basics of Programming in Javascript

Lesson 3: CS Unplugged
In this lesson, you will take a break from building your website to learn elementary programming concepts through an interactive cup stacking activity. Come work in groups to construct solutions and watch volunteers interactively follow your directions to build cup stacks. Learn about algorithmic thinking, strategies for debugging, and how these generalizable programming concepts can be applied as you continue your programming journey.
Lesson 4: JavaScript Introduction
By this lesson, you will have your own static webpage from Lesson 2. Now, you will use JavaScript to add animation (like customized transitions and slideshows of images) to your website!

Lesson 5: More JavaScript Concepts
For lesson 5, we’ll cover even more JavaScript concepts. You’ll learn to add more complex JavaScript components like a drop-down navigation bar or links to your social media!
Lesson 6: Publishing with GitHub Pages
In this final lesson, you will get the opportunity to publish the great work you have done! Learn about GitHub pages, a place to host your project pages directly from a GitHub repository. We will walk through you through publishing your site and how to continue editing after the workshop. After this lesson, your friends will be able to visit your site!
