Auto-hovering Helicopter
For the Design of Microprocessor-Based Systems (EECS373) class at the University of Michigan: College of Engineering, students are required to come up with a project involving the interface of several devices to a microprocessor.
The idea for our project was to have a helicopter capable of hovering stably. Ideally, it would also maintain its altitude, rotational and lateral orientations. Additionally, we also wished to have the control and feedback signals use wireless connections, or to mount a small microcontroller on the helicopter in order to eliminate any hard links between the vehicle and the control station.
