Announcements

• 12/5/18: A hearty congratulations to Yifan Zhao, winner of the 2018 EECS 583 Optimization Contest. Taking second was Brandon Nguyen and third by James Peretta. Here's a pic. See slides from today's class for more details.
• 11/20/18: Project demo slots are available Dec 12, 13, 14, 17, 18, 19. The signup sheet will be available Wed in class or you can sign up on my office door (4633 BBB) afterwards.
• 11/20/18: Research presentations start tomorrow. Please plan to attend class to learn a little compiler research and provide feedback to your classmates on their presentations.
• 11/20/18: Midterm exam solution posted below. Grades will be posted on canvas by tonight. You can pick up your graded exam in Wednesday's class (11/21).
• 11/4/18: Midterm exam on Wednesday Nov 14 in class.
• 11/4/18: No regular class on Monday Nov 12. Instead group office hours will be held to answer exam related questions during class time in 2246 SRB.
• 10/30/18: Old exams are posted from Fall 2011, 2012, and 2013. These are the last times that Scott taught the course. For the past 4 years, the class was taught by someone else and they did not have a midterm exam.
• 10/16/18: Project meetings will be held Oct 22-26, please sign up for a slot during Wednesday's class (Oct 17). If you cannot sign up, the sheet will be posted on the door of 4633 BBB so you can sign up later.
• 9/27/18: HW2 benchmarks and implementation template are posted on the Homeworks page.
• 9/26/18: Ze will present an overview of the HW2 implementation during next Monday's class, Oct 1.
• 9/26/18: Homework 2 is out, due Oct 12.
• 9/11/18: Homework 1 is out, due Sept 24.
• 9/11/18: Everyone should have access to class servers, eecs583a.eecs.umich.edu and eecs583b.eecs.umich.edu.
• 9/5/18: Homework 0 is out, due Sept 12.
• 9/3/18: Course website is up. Please check regularly for course announcements, reading material, and lecture slides.
