Departmental Computing Organization

Here to serve your technology needs!

The Departmental Computing Organization (DCO) was established in 1985 to provide computing support to faculty, staff, and students within the department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. DCO maintains and supports a variety of servers, the departmental network, and many other services.

With a diverse group of full time staff and student employees, we can fix just about any problem or answer any question you might encounter while computing here at the University. If there's something we don't know, we'll be able to tell you who does. We are able to answer most questions and address most issues remotely. Please email help@eecs.umich.edu with your question or issue, and as much relevant information as possible, and we will respond as soon as possible.

If you are having computer issues rebooting is usually a good first step before contacting us. If you are still having an issue then of course please reach out to us. Also, we ask anyone in EECS who is looking to buy a new computer, server, printer or even a monitor to email DCO first. We are familiar with various incompatibilities as well as UM vendor contracts and hardware configurations. We are happy to assist you on weekdays between 10 AM and 4 PM at any of our offices. No appointment is necessary, just stop in. (If nobody is in, or for things that come up evenings and weekends please use our help@eecs.umich.edu and we will do our best to get back to you as soon as we can.)
